In the early ‘90s, a sag in rail service, the means by which B&B’s chips
were delivered to clients, forced B&B Chip Mill to use trucks and vans as
delivery vehicles. By the mid-90s, chip delivery was evenly divided between
rail and highway, with trucks accounting for more volume each year. By the
late ‘90s, trucks delivered most of the volume and delivery by rail ceased,
leading to the development of B&B Trucking, LLC. The company's fleet of trucks
serves companies such as Weyerhauser and International Paper, and delivers
to facilities
in six states.
The creation of B&B Trucking led to the necessity for a large truck and trailer
maintenance facility.
B&B Trucking is self-maintained, equipped to handle various truck repairs and authorized by Freightliner to perform its own warranty work. Technicians at B&B Trucking are certified by Cat, Cummins, Detroit and Mercedes Benz.
